5 months & two weeks...little late

So I am trying to keep you all posted on my growing belly but I am a little late with this one. First of all please forgive my sleepy face with no make-up, not my best look. I can't even believe it myself that I only have less than four months to go now. Time has really flown by although I must say I am starting to stress about getting everything done & ready. (something new..ha) Things I am sure will fly by since both the kids start baseball/softball next month.

Mattison's Pueblo

Mattison wanted me to post a little blog about her pueblo she had to build for school. She did a great job didn't she! Jeff and I forgot how fun it is to be in third grade, we had so much fun helping her. She used boxes to make the structure, then covered the boxes with paper bags, then added the windows & doors with black construction paper. Then to add some fun she covered all the paper bags with glue & covered it in sand, then used coffee grounds for the dirt around it. She is so clever! We got to give props to dad for making those fancy little ladders though, I think it took him just as long to build the latters as it took Matti & I to build the pueblo. (Men!)

Exciting!

Today I got the baby bedding we ordered. I always get these pictures of what I think it is going to feel like or look like in my head so when I finally get it I am completely disappointed. Sure enough that is what happened today. I thought the crib blanket was going to be this soft cotton feeling, not designer (aka curtain material)! OK...It really wasn't THAT bad I admit I get a little dramatic! It was still soft but I was all bummed. Knowing the way I am sometimes I took it all out and laid it on the floor to get the whole picture. Still wasn't sold; every so often I would go back upstairs & look at it. Well, sure enough it has grown on me and more than that I love it just as much as I did when I saw it online. I am so difficult, poor Jeff! So all is well again in the Hammitt household phew. HA! I don't want to post any pictures till her room is all done so keep watching...

Dog wishing he was a kid!

Today I let the kids go outside and ride their razors with the neighbor kids. I am a nervous crazy parent that doesn't let them go out alone too often. Well I said today they could but I couldn't help watching out the window. So while I was upstairs doing laundry I opened up the window in Matti's room out to the road. Stoli was being so good but I couldn't figure out why the heck he kept running down the hall then when I would go downstairs he would run up from time to time. Well I decided I would be sneaky and see what he was doing and sure enough...he was watching the kids outside too. He started out by just sitting watching but that wasn't enough because the next time I checked on him he was on his back legs watching Matti outside. What a nut! Guess he just wanted to go out and play too!

It's a GIRL!

We found out last friday that this little bun in the oven is a girl. We are so excited to have another girl around the house. Here are all the pictures we got to take home

My favorite picture, her side profile with her little hand by her nose

Her tiny little feet

Her front face shot, not my fav... looks a little scary.

Mattison's New Tween Bedroom

Mattison got a new room thanks to this little baby on the way. She had really no idea that she was going to get the big spare room so while she was away visiting her dad during Christmas break sneaky mommy did some moving around of stuff. I told her I had cleaned her room for her when we picked her up on Friday. She got home and I told her to run up and put her stuff upstairs, off she went & opened her door and said..."MOM!!" I said what hunny, she said, "um all my stuff is gone.. I told her to look in the other room. She opened the door & was so excited! She got the big bed with all new ROXY bedding. She also got a full length mirror, the spare room TV & stand, & a new stereo. Her favorite part was that she had all her clothes hung up in the closet now & on her walls I had taken some photos of her in ballet & had them framed. I took her very first set of ballet shoes & hung them in a shadow box. She loved it and I know all the grandma's have been waiting to see it so enjoy the pix.
